I never thought I’d shelter in a place like this
Feeling safely encircled by its overawing beauty
Whilst trampling on its soothing perpetuity
For the first time I fear the upcoming epilogue
And the sense of bewilderment that will come along
Even though I’ve been well acquainted with it all

Cautious when it comes to matters of the heart
Anticipating pain to avoid dejection
Evaluating the risks of letting go of the grip
And downsizing it to highly rare exceptions

I have lived in fear for a while
Afraid to speak my truth and dare
Afraid to fight a little for myself
Or for the ones I fell
But I have finally grasped ephemerality
And the importance of ceasing the day
Uncaring about superficial consequences
And experiencing deeds worth to tell

Garderobe

My feet have never chased an unfazed soul
My impassiveness is slightly worse
Once a mortal neglects my cherished care
I ice up like the coolest glacier on Earth
And flush amity leftovers down the garderobe*

Appartiene all’essenza di chiunque.

There was a time I felt ashamed of my romantic nature
I kept the beauty to myself, behind an apathetic veil
So typically adolescent
Though how can anyone remain uncaring
In front of unpredictably rough waters
Yet so charmingly splendid
