We live in a world where
one judges faces
with swipes and taps,
cancels memories
with a shallow touch,
and mutes presences
by archiving chats;As if
Somehow to feel
relief.

where is the comfort

forced to hold

To seek perfection
in everything that one is –
in all entirety.

I wish I were superficial
at times
And overlooked my principles
That seem to be so distant
from what the rest makes me believe

A stranger told me it is all my fault:
I am still too picky and deceiving;
Unfit to help others like I thought.
He read my eyes, told I am rigid;
(Here I believed I’ve changed a lot)
He said I do stuff for distraction,
Made me promise that I’d stop:
“Your heart is pure, I swear I see that,
“Why would you think so less of it?”
His words pierced through my intellect;
I guess it is indeed my fault.

apathy –
my distress.

Abandon my dreams
Set me free
I beg

Sometimes I’d like to be swept off my feet
Be astounded by the beauty of the unsure
And embrace the ephemeralness of the bit

We are but strangers
That come together
And mildly drift apart
As swift as waves
On a turbulent night

My favoured people are
Intriguingly fascinating
So to lose all senses
In a heartbeat.
